The family drama series follows titular character Andi Mack (Peyton Elizabeth Lee) and her teenage life. In Season 1, Andi turns 13 and is delighted when her older sister Bex (Lilan Bowden) shows up and announces she's moving back in with their parents; she also reveals, against her parents' wishes, that she's really Andi's mother. As the teenager's life is turned upside down by the news, she slowly gets to know her mother and asks her about her father; meanwhile, Bex helps her dealing with growing pains, disappointed parents and a crush.
